Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

SubGen ("we", "us", "our") is a Telugu subtitle generation service operated by Atyuttama. We can be reached at support@subgen.in.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account information: Name and email address when you sign in via Google OAuth.
  • Video files: Videos you upload are temporarily stored in Cloudflare R2 and automatically deleted within 30 minutes of upload.
  • Payment information: Payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store card or UPI details. We store the Razorpay order ID, payment ID, and transaction amount for billing records.
  • Usage data: Minutes consumed, subscription plan, and credit balance are stored to operate the billing system.
  • Log data: Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited for security and debugging purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide the subtitle generation service.
  • To process payments and maintain billing records.
  • To send transactional emails (payment confirmations, support replies).
  • To improve the service and diagnose technical issues.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SubGen:

  • Sarvam AI – Processes audio for Telugu speech-to-text transcription. Audio is sent to Sarvam's API and is subject to their privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare R2 – Temporary video storage. Files are deleted within 30 minutes.
  • Razorpay – Payment processing. Subject to Razorpay's privacy policy.
  • Google OAuth – Authentication. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
  • MongoDB Atlas – Database for account and billing data.

5. Data Retention

  • Uploaded videos: deleted automatically within 30 minutes.
  • Account and billing data: retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Transaction records: retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@subgen.in. Transaction records required for legal compliance cannot be deleted.

7. Cookies

We use session cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Continued use of SubGen after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
